Arsenal’s Unbeaten Premier League Season

2004

Arsenal completed the 2003–04 Premier League season without losing a match.

Arsenal's 2003–04 side achieved something that had seemed almost impossible in the modern English top flight: an entire league campaign without defeat. Under Arsène Wenger, the team combined technical skill, pace and resilience, with players such as Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp central to its identity. Arsenal finished the thirty-eight-match season as champions with twenty-six wins and twelve draws. They became known as 'The Invincibles', a title that linked them with Preston North End's nineteenth-century unbeaten league achievement. Maintaining such consistency requires more than brilliant attacking football; it also demands concentration on difficult away days and the ability to recover when matches turn awkward. Their record remains one of the Premier League's defining accomplishments.
